Originally a Greek settlement named Epidauros; Cavtat is a town and port in the southern part of the Župa Dubrovačka County, 20km South – East of Dubrovnik. Major tourist attractions include a very pleasant climate, luxuriant vegetation and nice shores. The local economy is based on tourism with the main occupation in the surrounding area being farming and fishing. Cavtat was part of the original Dubrovnik in the 7th Century.
