Pag Island
The rocky island with few trees is commonly referred to as the island of "Lace, Party and Cheese." The beautiful 'white gold' lace has been passed down for centuries and is sold by the locals. The best summer partying comes from Novalja beach popular for the young at heart. Some of Croatia's finest cheese also comes from this island as does excellent olive oil and local salt. The islands main town Pag is known for its narrow streets and intimately close stone homes. Access to the island is by sea or land. |
